He is a specialist in Orthodontics and Dento-facial Orthopaedics (2000) and has exclusively practiced orthodontics for the last 20 years.
He is a member of the Belgian and American Orthodontic Societies and regularly participates to national and international congresses of orthodontics.
He offers his patients quality care, according to their needs and with adapted methods. He practices orthodontics for children and adults in close collaboration with the general dentists and other dental specialists, stomatologists and maxillofacial surgeons, otorhinolaryngologist and speech therapists. He enjoys his profession greatly and regularly attends conferences to stay modern and up-to-date with our technique. Scientific rigor, excellent interpersonal skills, listening and passion are the pillars of his effective orthodontic practice. Besides standard orthodontics with fixed braces (on the outer side of the teeth), He is trained in the exclusive techniques of lingual orthodontics (on the inside and don’t show) and the use of transparent clear aligners (Invisalign®).
Cynthia Taub, also a specialist in Orthodontics, has also been with the ORTHOBELLO team for the last 10 years, and shares the same passion and attention to detail as her colleagues.
And finally, to add to our team of highly experienced specialists, we have a supporting cast of wonderful dentists in Céline Compas, Chloé Layrisse and Claire Meley who were more recently integrated to the team.

THE VARIOUS TYPES OF TREATMENTS WE PROVIDE
Custom-made invisible aligners (Invisalign® system)
The latest technique that is advancing quickly in orthodontics is a removable and aesthetic orthodontic treatment called Invisalign. This discreet, comfortable and virtually invisible method uses digital imaging technology to produce a series of transparent plastic aligners. The aligners fit snugly over your teeth and each aligner shifts your teeth slightly, moving them horizontally and vertically and even rotating them when needed. Your aligners are engineered to use the right amount of force in the right place at the right time to obtain an optimal result.
Aligners are changed every week or two according to the orthodontist's instructions and you visit the orthodontist about every 8 to 10 weeks to have the specialist check your progress and give you additional aligners to wear.
The dental movements are made progressively and efficiently until the final desired position is reached. The patient's cooperation and motivation are necessary for obtaining excellent results no matter what the technique, but it is even more essential that the aligners are worn 22-24 hours a day to achieve positive results. It is both an easy and greatly esthetic approach to orthodontic treatment, but only for those who are highly motivated to wear their aligners consistently.
Metal Vestibular Brackets
This is standard orthodontics for most children which consists of metal brackets (glued on the outer face of the teeth). The archwires are tied into the bracket slots and begin to more each tooth into its optimum position to be straight, and to allow the teeth to fit together properly.
The archwire is changed at regular visits depending on the desired movements.
In some cases, elastic rubber bands are strategically connected to the top and bottom jaws to move the teeth in horizontal or vertical direction helping to properly align the teeth.
This type of appliance consists of translucent ceramic brackets (glued on the outer face of the teeth), and function just like the metal brackets to help guide each tooth into position The archwires are tied into the bracket slots and begin to more each tooth into its optimum position to be straight, and to allow the teeth to fit together properly.
As with the metal brackets, In some cases, elastic rubber bands are strategically connected to the top and bottom jaws to move the teeth in horizontal or vertical direction helping to properly align the teeth.
This technique is more discreet and usually preferred by teenagers and adults who have an aesthetic concern while in braces as the brackets are clear.

• What is the best age for a first orthodontic consultation?
We recommended 9,5 years old, unless your dentist has a different advice.
• A bracket or a ring is loose. What should I do?
A bracket or a ring is unglued if you can move it on the wire or on the tooth. It needs to be repaired.
Please call the secretary and make an appointment, even if you have your next adjustment is scheduled relatively close, the time set aside might not be long enough to do the repair at the same time.
• I don’t have any elastic bands anymore, where can I find some?
Elastics are not sold in shops or pharmacy. Just call us or come at our office and we shall provide you some for free.
• I lost a ligature (small elastic around a bracket). The color of my ligatures changed. What shall I do?
You can always come to the office for this without any appointment. Just show up, tell the secretary your name and the reason you are there, and as soon as an assistant has time she will help you.
